This course extends students’ English language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing for everyday and essential academic purposes, and provides students with the skills and strategies they need to make the transition to college and university preparation courses in English and other secondary school disciplines.
Exploring Family Studies: Grade 9 or 10 (HIF1O/2O)
This course explores how to meet basic needs, how to relate to others, how to manage resources, and how to become responsible members of society.
Designing Your Future: Grade 11 (GWL3O)
This course prepares students to make successful transitions to postsecondary destinations as they investigate specific postsecondary options based on their skills, interests, and personal characteristics.
This program will support students in making friends, becoming familiar with the TDSB system and building a stronger network of support. Students will also earn one credit upon successful completion of the course chosen.
