On July 10, a team from Dublin Heights Elementary and Middle School represented Canada at the World Final of the Kids' Lit Quiz in Canberra, Australia and won 4th place!
The Dublin Heights team, made up of students Annabelle C., Kaida S., Lara D. and Taya C., were the National finalists and proudly represented Canada at the international competition.
Seven countries from across the globe came to compete on the world stage, and the caliber of questions from Quizmaster Wayne Mills matched the intensity of the competition. Placing 4th overall, Dublin Heights was the top school from the Western Hemisphere, and represented their school and entire country extremely well against some very tough competition.
Huge shout out to their staff coaches, Bonnie Pollock, Misty DePellegrin and Rachael Stein, for helping them on their literary journey, and to Andrew Kim for leading them through an Australian literary adventure.
Congratulations to the team from Dublin Heights on this very impressive accomplishment! You’ve made the TDSB, and the entire country, very proud!
