Farzana Rajwani is constantly focused on building new, rewarding relationships and stronger communities. In her professional life, Farzana helps facilitate philanthropic giving as Campaign Director at University Health Network Foundation. But her focus on relationships and community building doesn’t stop there. Farzana was selected as a 2020 DiverseCity Fellow, an award-winning leadership experience for diverse rising leaders in the greater Toronto region, which provides a platform to supercharge leadership skills, explore urban issues, and discover how to make a positive community centred change. Farzana has also been involved in fundraising initiatives for the Ismaili community and a volunteer family facilitator for the Quality of Life Program, helping to create plans for individuals and families that strengthen financial stability and access to education, health, and housing. Farzana also educates the next generation of social profit professionals in the fundraising program at Humber College. Farzana’s deep engagement with her community drives her to do more, especially in the face of rising income inequality for young people, immigrants, racialized communities, and women.
Prior to her role at University Health Network Foundation, Farzana held positions at the Michael Garron Hospital Foundation, Aga Khan Museum, University of Toronto, Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation, York University, and Prostate Cancer Canada with a focus on major gifts, planned giving, volunteer management, and strategic partnerships.
