International Students

The Ontario Government has announced that all Ontario schools (including those in the Toronto District School Board) have been ordered to close from March 14 to end of June, 2020 amid COVID-19 concerns. The TDSB International Students and Admissions Office will be closed during this time for face to face support. However, we continue to provide support via email: StudyToronto@tdsb.on.ca

Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Covid-19 Updates

Toronto District School Board (“TDSB”) is continuing to monitor developments involving the coronavirus (referred to as COVID-19).

2020-2021 School Year

TDSB appreciates many of you have questions about the 2020-2021 school year, in particular the Fall semester, what that may look like, and if we will be able to return to in-person learning. TDSB staff are working diligently on several contingencies to ensure TDSB’s programs will continue to meet our high standards of academic quality and learner experience. Classes for the 2020-2021 school year will begin in September even if classes need to be delivered wholly or partially through online or remote learning formats. Public Health takes the lead on all COVID-19 cases. TDSB takes guidance from the Ontario Ministry of Education and Toronto Public Health regarding any measures that are needed to support the school operations, students, staff and educators. We will continue to follow such directions and keep the safety and wellbeing of our students and staff at the heart of our decisions.

The 2020 Integrated Summer School and Orientation Program will be offered online. Details will be posted on our website.

International Students - Kindergarten to Grade 12

The TDSB is proud to be one of the most diverse and multicultural school boards in the world. We welcome students from all countries.

Attending school in Toronto is a rewarding experience with many benefits. Toronto is a beautiful, clean and safe city. International students will learn about other diverse cultures, gain new perspectives and meet new friends while getting a first rate education.

Our teachers and counsellors understand the needs of our international students and know that they often require help adjusting to life in a new country. Our staff speak a variety of languages and they are always willing to offer friendly guidance on academic and personal issues.
