TDSB Accredited Additional Qualifications Courses

The Toronto District School Board is pleased to be an approved provider of Additional Qualification (AQ) courses in Music and Science and Technology. These courses are accredited with the Ontario College of Teachers.

Additional Qualification courses allow teachers to expand their knowledge and skills within divisions and/or subjects in which they are already qualified or to acquire knowledge in new areas. Visit the Ontario College of Teachers for a complete list of courses and additional information.

The TDSB Mathematics, Primary/Junior Additional Qualification Part 1 and 2 courses are designed to critically explore, examine and implement what it means to know mathematics for teaching mathematics in the Primary & Junior divisions.

Part 1 - enhancing professional practice and extending knowledge and skills
Part 2 - enhancing professional practice; extending, applying and designing learning opportunities and skills

Candidates will critically inquire into professional practices, pedagogies, and ethical cultures through dialogue, collaborative reflection and job embedded teaching and learning.

Note: These courses will only run if the minimum course enrollment of 20 participants is met. We strongly recommend that staff enroll as a school team.

Registration deadline is January 25, 2019.
