Bienvenue! Welcome! This site is for parents, guardians and family members of students in Core French, Extended French or French Immersion programs in the Toronto District School Board, as well as interested community members. You will find information about our programs, the application and placement process, how to support your child in their journey to learn French as a second or additional language, Special Education and Inclusion in French as a Second Language (FSL) programs, resources, links and more.
In our work, we strive to:
- Increase confidence, proficiency and achievement in FSL;
- Increase the percentage of students studying FSL until graduation; and
- Increase student, parent, and community engagement in FSL.
This vision aligns with the vision and goals of the Ministry of Education for FSL programming that are outlined in the Framework for French as a Second Language in Ontario Schools Kindergarten to Grade 12.
