Google Translate Limitations Disclaimer
The electronic translation service on the Toronto District School Board website is hosted by Google Translate, a third party service. The TDSB does not guarantee or warrant the reliability, accuracy or completeness of any translated information.
The quality of the translation will vary in some of the languages offered by Google. Google Translate is a free service and currently offers translation in over 100 languages, but does not capture all languages or dialects.
The basic translation goal is to capture the general intention of the original English material. Before you act on translated information, we encourage you to confirm any facts that are important to you or may affect any decisions you make.
The Toronto District School Board is committed to equity and community engagement, and by providing this tool, we are making our information more accessible to families whose first language is not English.
The Toronto District School Board is in the process of recruiting its next Director of Education. This process is being led by a Trustee Director Search Committee, in partnership with Phelps, an executive search firm.
The Trustee Director Search Committee is made up of 10 elected trustees:
This committee was selected to provide oversight, guidance and direction in the selection of the new Director of Education; and represent the TDSB and its stakeholders. This committee will also interview and select candidates for final approval for hire.
Phelps has been retained as an external executive search firm to run and manage the recruitment process. Their role is to provide advice on the selection process to the Trustee Director Search Committee. They will also play a role in interviewing and assessing interested and qualified candidates.
As part of the search process, we are conducting a survey to learn more about our community’s insights on the appointment of TDSB’s next leader. With the success and well-being of TDSB’s students and staff at the centre of this search, responses to this survey will assist greatly in defining the qualities, attributes, and skills required to advance the school board’s vision, mission, practices, and culture.
We would appreciate students, staff, parents/guardians/caregivers, our partners, and members of the broader community taking the time to share your insights on opportunities that lie ahead for the new Director of Education in the coming years. The results of this survey will be used to develop criteria to select the next Director of Education who will shape TDSB’s future strategy, key performance indicators, and will build upon TDSB’s commitments to its diverse community of students, staff, and stakeholders.
Survey responses will be confidential and reported anonymously as group data. Please submit your survey no later than September 22, 2024 at 11:59pm.
