Land-use planning decisions made by municipal councils are subject to the appeal process of the OLT. The OLT is a provincial body that considers appeals of land-use planning decisions and has the authority to make final decisions on them. Occasionally, the TDSB will participate in these appeals to ensure that our interests are protected.
Examples of this include securing opportunities for new school sites or policy language that considers student accommodation and protecting TDSB property from the negative impacts of a neighbouring development.
