The electronic translation service on the Toronto District School Board website is hosted by Google Translate, a third party service. The TDSB does not guarantee or warrant the reliability, accuracy or completeness of any translated information.
The quality of the translation will vary in some of the languages offered by Google. Google Translate is a free service and currently offers translation in over 100 languages, but does not capture all languages or dialects.
The basic translation goal is to capture the general intention of the original English material. Before you act on translated information, we encourage you to confirm any facts that are important to you or may affect any decisions you make.
The Toronto District School Board is committed to equity and community engagement, and by providing this tool, we are making our information more accessible to families whose first language is not English.

As you navigate the following web pages you will find answers to a number of questions you may have about Grade 9 in the TDSB, including course types, and earning a secondary school diploma. We have also provided links to some of our other helpful websites for additional information you may be curious about. As well, you will be introduced to myBlueprint (a web-based planning tool), designed to assist in the educational planning that is required to make informed decisions about your Grade 9 course selections.
This interactive guide, together with Choices: Course Selection and Planning Guide 2018, your Parents/Guardians, Guidance Counsellors and teachers will support you in making some important career life decisions. You can expect to access the Choices 2018 in January when you formally begin your course selection process.
Within our site, there are imbedded video clips presented by some of our TDSB students that will further help to describe the information you need to prepare for Secondary School.
